Following an agreement with the Tenant Association, the new rents are set for the year 2024.

There has been a good and constructive dialogue during the negotiations, with a clear willingness from both parties to take responsibility for the strained economic situation affecting both the tenants' personal finances and Skebo as a company.

The reason for the rent increases is the general cost development, where, among other things, energy, interest rates, and fee-related costs have increased significantly in recent years. We want to continue maintaining our properties and simultaneously build new homes for a growing Skellefteå. Skebo has a responsibility to manage increasing costs and, therefore, needs to review every aspect of our operations and distribute the cost where it belongs as much as possible. An upcoming review of parking is planned, with the goal of having parking spaces cover their own operating, maintenance, and development costs. Through a more equitable distribution of costs, we aim to have a lower rent increase for housing in the future. This strategy allows us to accept this year's increase in the average rent level, even though it is lower than our general cost increases indicate.

The agreement means that the rents for Skebo's residential apartments will be adjusted on average by 5.35% from April 1, 2024.

We use a systematic rent-setting model called "The Points in Skellefteå." This means that the rent is determined based on various characteristics of the property and the apartment. What your rent will be is determined by the Points and may therefore differ slightly from the average figure. On the April rent invoice, you can find out exactly what your new rent will be.

For apartments with presumed Rent (new construction rent), the increase is 3.26% from April 1, 2024.

Student residences will be raised by 5.35% from August 1, 2024.
